GROUNDFLOOR — The Afterparty ft. Raxon (Ellum/Diynamic) [EG]
Here we join forces with some dear friends at Arteq Productions to present with you an afterparty like no other featuring Raxon (Ellum/DIYNAMIC MUSIC).
Raxon has fast become known as one of the Middle East’s most respected electronic artists. The Egyptian, based now in Barcelona, his time spent as a resident Dj for audio tonic in Dubai has exposed him to a wide variation of sound, most importantly the influences of quality dance music!
It’s his upbringing and passion for this music that has driven him to produce his signature sound of driving bass heavy House & Techno, which has been inspired from his 2012 accolade winning the Beatport remix competition for Nick Curly’s ‘Underground’ on Cecille. Since then, he has released and worked with some of the industry’s most respected imprints including Ellum, Diynamic, Noir Music, Tronic and more, but he is mostly know for is 2016 summer remix of Noir & Olivier Giacamotto’s ‘Reste’
His success in the studio has brought him to the attention of a global audience, with past (and current) gigs for the likes of Watergate Berlin, Pacha Ibiza - 2016 summer residency at mosaic by maceo, Off Sonar, ADE, BPM Festival and DGTL Festival Amsterdam and Barcelona. Extenuating his global appeal, Raxon has also appeared 3 times as a special guest on John Digweed’s Transitions radio show.
Raxon’s fan base and reputation continue to grow around the world, DJ Mag Middle East have been quick to recognize his efforts by placing him at No 7 in their Top 100 DJ Poll in 2010 and he was voted Best Dubai DJ in 2013 and 2014 by Time Out Dubai. But this is just the beginning; Raxon has so much more to give.
Welcome to GROUNDFLOOR.
Hidden beneath a world built on the norms of everyday society, we give life to a brand new era, a new direction, an urban playground for Melbourne’s music and art community.
A contemporary social gathering and event space for those likeminded seeking a break away from the current nightlife of today, with strong focus on nurturing the culture of the venue and experience of all those who wish to join.
Situated off the beaten track via a concealed back alley entrance, through a series of fire exits, low lit rooms and emergency doors - you will then be introduced to our space that encompasses the raw and industrial, warehouse style nature that we have all grown such a deep love and affection for.
With a strictly limited capacity and an aim to operate within an intimate atmosphere, our door will consist of a first-in basis.
SOUND:
Our monstrous, high quality in-house Funktion-One system has been provided by JPJ Audio, and sounds absolutely incredible.
