Joevkid and Kaled Nasser arrive with the 'Meditation' EP

RC154 welcomes two new Brazilian artists to the label. London-based producer Joevkid steps up with his debut EP, joined on the closing track by Cuiabá's Kaled Nasser. Two producers, one release and a shared arrival on Recovery Collective.

Since 2014, Joevkid has been exploring the boundaries of electronic music with a fusion of progressive house and techno. Based in London by way of Brazil, his productions carry a captivating and hypnotic feel. A true musical journey.

As founder of Atipic Records, he's built a platform for authentic sounds that break away from the ordinary, and behind the decks his sets have graced legendary rooms including Ministry of Sound alongside his ongoing residency at Fox In The Box at Union Club in London.

Kaled Nasser brings his own weight to the release. A Brazilian techno producer known for hypnotic rhythms and melodic sensibilities, with a signature that has taken him to prominent places across the Brazilian and international electronic scene.

The 'Meditation' EP unfolds as a three chapter arc.

The title track flows across genres and is hard to pin down. Melodic and progressive but chunky and rolling underneath, laced with catchy vocal cuts that hook you in and hold the mood.

'Hyperspace' picks up the tempo, driving forward with sharper edges and a heavier momentum, pulling the arrangement into peak-time territory.

Closing the EP, 'Alter Ego' brings Joevkid and Kaled Nasser together, pinning the release back to a stripped back progressive house record. The perfect way to round out the EP.
